We love chocolate as much as the next girl, but don’t like all the artificial stuff in store bought treats. As we always say, everything homemade is better so here is a quick, healthy and delicious treat that you can whip up next time you have a craving. It is gluten free, raw, vegan, oil free and sugar free – perfect for everyone.
1/4 cup dairy free dark chocolate, chopped into pieces
1 large banana (we used 2 small lady fingers)
1/2 cup rolled oats (ceritifed gluten free if you’re intolerant)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
1 teaspoon good quality cocoa powder
1. Melt the chocolate pieces in the microwave for 50 seconds, make sure they don’t burn though! Stir to melt all pieces.
2. In a separate bowl, mash the banana with a fork until smooth. Pour over the melted chocolate and stir to combine.
3. Add in the rolled oats, coconut, chia seeds and cocoa and stir to combine.
4. Use a tablespoon to scoop out balls to place on a lined tray. Place in the freezer for 1 hour or until firm. You can store them in an airtight container in the freezer so you have a treat to grab anytime you need it.
